The World Gold Conference is a comprehensive industry event with the widest coverage and the highest academic level in the global gold technology field. It is organized by the China Gold Association (CGA), the American Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME), and the Canadian Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Institute. It is organized jointly by the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM), the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), and is held on a rotating basis every two years.
